NIT Trichy graduate. 9+ years shaping minds at Allen Kota. Now igniting a passion for Physics in millions at Physics Wallah.
Saleem Ahmed — affectionately known across India as "Saleem Bhaiya" — is one of the most beloved Physics educators in the country. Born and raised in Rudrapur, Uttarakhand, his journey from a small hill-town to the corridors of NIT Trichy and the nation's most prominent coaching hub in Kota is a story of relentless dedication and passion.
After graduating with a B.Tech in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the prestigious National Institute of Technology, Trichy — one of India's finest engineering colleges — Saleem Sir chose a path less travelled. Instead of a corporate career, he followed his heart into education, a choice that would change thousands of lives.
His teaching philosophy is simple yet profound: "Empower students with knowledge beyond textbooks, inculcating a spirit of critical thinking and curiosity." This approach turned him into a rockstar at Allen Career Institute, Kota — the most competitive coaching hub in India — where students began lovingly calling him "Saleem Bhaiya."
After 7+ years at Allen Kota, he went on to direct the ISAC Learning Institute (a PW venture) before joining Physics Wallah full-time, where he now teaches the Varun JEE Advanced batch and the Manzil JEE 2025 batch among others. He is also the author of the widely-used SKC (Saleemians Khopcha Concept) Physics Crush Class 12 Notes for JEE and NEET.
Beyond academics, Saleem Sir is an avid traveller and explorer, having journeyed across diverse cultures. He speaks Hindi, English, and Garhwali, and maintains a warm bond with his family — his mother, wife, brother, sister-in-law, and his beloved nephew.
The academic bedrock that shaped one of India's finest Physics educators
NIT Trichy is consistently ranked among India's top 10 engineering institutions. Earning a seat here — and completing a rigorous B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering — is a testament to Saleem Sir's exceptional aptitude and work ethic. The engineering mindset he developed here is evident in how he approaches Physics: with structural clarity, problem-decomposition, and real-world application thinking. His ECE background gives him an unparalleled edge in topics like Electromagnetism, Wave Optics, and Modern Physics — all crucial for JEE Advanced.
Located in Tamil Nadu, NIT Trichy is an Institute of National Importance, known for its world-class labs, research culture, and competitive academic environment.
ECE is one of NIT Trichy's most sought-after branches. The program covers circuit theory, signal processing, electromagnetics — directly influencing Saleem Sir's Physics pedagogy.
His engineering background allows him to connect Physics theory to practical applications — a teaching style students find both intuitive and deeply engaging for competitive exams.
From Rudrapur to the classrooms of lakhs of students — a decade-long journey of impact
Saleem Ahmed grew up in Rudrapur, a town in the Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand. Nestled in the Terai region at the foothills of the Himalayas, Rudrapur gave him both grounded values and a natural curiosity about the world around him. Even as a child, science fascinated him — the "why" behind every phenomenon would consume him.
Cracking an NIT entrance is no small feat. Saleem Sir earned his seat at NIT Trichy — one of India's premier engineering colleges — and pursued B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering. These years were transformative: rigorous academics, brilliant peers, and a growing love for Physics' mathematical elegance. It was here that he realised teaching was his true calling.
Kota — India's coaching capital — is where Saleem Sir truly earned his legend. He joined Allen Career Institute, the country's most prestigious JEE/NEET coaching hub, and spent over 7 years there. His signature "Saleem Bhaiya" style — approachable, conceptually sharp, and deeply motivational — made him one of Allen's most loved Physics faculties. Students from across the country would specifically enrol in his batches, and his classrooms were always overflowing. Alumni from this period still speak of him with extraordinary reverence.
After his transformative stint at Allen, Saleem Sir stepped into a leadership role as Director of ISAC Learning Institute — an ed-tech venture that later became part of the Physics Wallah ecosystem. This period saw him scale his impact beyond physical classrooms, reaching students online and building a larger community of Physics learners.
Today, Saleem Sir is a key faculty member at Physics Wallah — India's fastest-growing ed-tech unicorn. He teaches the Varun JEE Advanced batch and the Manzil JEE 2025 batch, among others. He is also the author of the SKC (Saleemians Khopcha Concept) Physics Crush Class 12 Notes — a beloved resource for JEE and NEET aspirants. His YouTube marathon of 20 continuous hours covering complete JEE Mains Physics is a milestone that remains unmatched in Indian edu-content history. Through PW, he now reaches millions.
Numbers that tell the story of a teacher who goes beyond the ordinary
Saleem Sir set an extraordinary record by teaching complete JEE Mains Physics in a single non-stop 20-hour session on JEE Wallah's YouTube channel — a feat of endurance and dedication unmatched in Indian edu-content.
Across his career at Allen Kota, ISAC, and PW, Saleem Sir has personally guided over 10,000 students in offline classrooms — with countless more benefiting through online platforms.
Students mentored by Saleem Sir have gone on to achieve exceptional All India Ranks in JEE, including remarkable results in the top 50 of the country — a testament to his teaching quality.
He is the author of the Saleemians Khopcha Concept (SKC) Physics Crush Class 12 Handwritten Notes — a unique resource designed to make Class 12 Physics intuitive for both JEE and NEET aspirants.
During his 7+ years at Allen Career Institute — India's most competitive coaching centre — Saleem Sir became one of its most celebrated and crowd-favourite Physics teachers. Students enrolled specifically for his batches.
